The Association

The Association is open to all residents of the Cale Green Conservation Area, including Beech Road, Beech Avenue, Heath Road, Heath Crescent, Adswood Lane West, Heathfield Road and Bramhall Lane.

The Association is to represent the interests of residents in such matters as local planning & development, traffic and parking, maintenance of trees, shrubs and bushes, communal local facilities, tackle litter and nuisance, and the general improvement of the Cale Green Conservation Area.

The Association is fostering close relationships with local councillors in order to provide a significant voice on any issues affecting the area.

The Association exists to maintain and improve Cale Green, and relies on residents’ support in order to succeed.
Cale Green is in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and is situated between Davenport, Heaviley and Adswood.

A Group has been put together to look at ways in which the Residents can become more involved in activities within the Park. Our volunteer or tidy days are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10.00am to 2.00pm, and all are welcome - equipment & hot tea provided!

Anyone interested in joining the Park Group can contact Melanie Cataquet via the contact form at the bottom of this page.
The Park Group also holds events throughout the year :-  a summer event in June & the Xmas event in December.

What We Do
Flower Fund
In 2005 the Stockport was judged the best town in the country for it's floral displays in it's streets & parks, & won the "Britain In Bloom" competition. It's been downhill ever since. Cuts in local authority spending have meant the once beautiful flower beds in Cale Green Park have been grassed over & reduced to cow pasture. This appears to be a permanent state of affairs as the council have also closed down the nursery in Woodbank Park. This is probably just the start.
The Resident's Association has been able to secure the use of three large flower tubs near the park shelter. We have to buy plants twice a year & it has been suggested that local residents might like to contribute to the "flower fund" that will provide for plants & bulbs for the tubs & other areas of the park & Bell's Paddock.

If you would like to contribute to this fund please take or send your contribution to our treasurer Paul Duce at 7 Beech Road.

We are very grateful for the generous support of the Garden Of Eden to our Flower Fund. Please support our local retailers by shopping locally if you can.
